Terms & Conditions

Terms of carriage and website use. Last updated 29 July 2026.

1. Scope

These terms govern use of the DHL Delivery Logistics website and any transport, warehousing or brokerage service we provide, unless a signed contract between us states otherwise.

2. Bookings and quotations

Quotations are valid for 14 days and assume the weights, dimensions and commodity descriptions you supply are accurate. Re-measurement at intake may change the price. A booking is confirmed when we issue a tracking number.

3. Prohibited and restricted goods

We do not carry currency, live animals, narcotics, weapons, or undeclared dangerous goods. Restricted commodities such as lithium batteries, perishables and pharmaceuticals require prior written approval and correct declaration.

4. Transit times

Published transit times are estimates based on planned schedules. They are not guarantees, and are subject to customs inspection, weather, port congestion and force majeure.

5. Duties, taxes and charges

Duties and taxes follow the agreed Incoterm. Where the receiver fails to settle charges due, the shipper remains liable for them together with any storage or return costs incurred.

6. Liability

Our liability is limited to the applicable convention for the mode of carriage (CMR, Montreal Convention or Hague-Visby Rules as relevant). Additional all-risk insurance up to declared value can be purchased at booking.

7. Claims

Visible damage must be noted at delivery and reported within 7 days. Concealed damage or loss must be reported within 14 days of delivery or scheduled delivery. Claims require the tracking number, commercial invoice and photographic evidence.

8. Website and tracking use

Tracking information is provided for the consignment associated with the number entered. Automated scraping, bulk enumeration of tracking numbers, or any attempt to access records without authorisation is prohibited.

9. Account security

Staff and partner accounts are personal. You are responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for activity performed under your account.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, with exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Rotterdam, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protections in your country of residence.
